The online influence of fashion blogs is increasing day to day with more social media activity seen on them compared to sites like Vogue. Vogue has recently won a Webby but the people running fashion blogs are edging out the magazines who maintain larger staffs and budgets to influence people online.
A lot of fashion magazines have increased their mark on the net from merely being a digital subscription form to a blogger network now. Glamour and Elle magazine have created their own fashion blogs. One of the most influential fashion blogs, The Sartorialist has formerly been home to Vogue and W. There are incidences where a single teen blogger is influencing as many people as the Teen Vogue staff.
Most of the magazines are being pushed out of the top spots by fashion blogs who operate with multiple writers and editors. The future sees a number of strong individual fashion opinions rivaling the influence of the traditional fashion houses. Many people who dismiss this shift towards fashion blogs think of it as a passing fad but they probably do not account for the increasing importance of the digital media compared to the conventional print publications.

1. Always wear T-shirts that don't have gaudy or hard prints on them. Prefer a Tee that has a sober design on it.
2. Wearing a belt will not only make you look fashionable, it will also make your waistline appear a little thinner.
3. Fat males should avoid going for turtlenecks. They should go for Tee-shirts with a V-neck. This will automatically produce a sleeker outline.
4. Match your tops and trousers carefully. Avoid using the same color for Tee-shirts and trousers.

The domination of the full length maxi and the skirt has now been challenged by the mid length midi in the fashion world. A midi is a length where the skirt hemline is just till the middle of the calves.
Midis were in style a long time back but have now come into fashion. Fashion designers like Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Fendi have included the mid length skirt in their designs, showcased in fashion events. The fabric used for the skirt is very light and delicate, the look for High Street fashion.
However, if you want to look very elegant and smart then a midi skirt, with a fitted blouse and a smart belt at the waistline is the answer. A patterned midi dress will give a more feminine look.
A pair of elegant high heeled shoes is a must to complete the look of the midi. Special care should be taken as to the kind of footwear one is wearing. Chunky block heels or strappy sandals will spoil the look, as they make the calf look fleshier and stocky. The main idea is to give an illusion of height to the wearer.
